There are 4 different names that are associated with every Etsy account. These names are as follows:
1. Etsy Username
Your Etsy username is what people see when you interact with them on the platform, such as when you purchase goods.
2. Etsy Shop Name
Your shop name is simply as it sounds, the name of your shop. It can be different than your Username.
3. Your Full Name
You can choose to add your full name on the platform.
4. Your Owner Profile
Your owner profile is an optional profile that you can connect to your shop.
Can You Change Your Etsy Username?
You cannot change your Etsy username at this time, though you can change your shop name. Your username is what is seen when you purchase items through the platform. You can also use it (or your email address) to log in to your Etsy account. Your username is public information.
What is an Etsy Shop Name?
Your Etsy shop name is different from your username. While your username is attached to everything you do on your account, your shop name can be kept very separate. You cannot sign in with your shop name unless it is identical to your Etsy username.
How to Change Your Etsy Shop Name
To change your shop name on Etsy, you must do the following:

Log in to your Etsy account, click your avatar in the upper right-hand corner, then choose “Shop Manager” from the drop-down menu.

Choose the “Settings” tab from the left-hand side of the screen.

When the side-bar changed, choose “Info and Appearance” from the available options.

Click the “Change” option next to the shop name.

Input your new Etsy username idea.

If you can’t choose a particular name, it is likely because it has previously been used. Unfortunately, there is no way to recycle old names, even if the previous user no longer uses the shop name.

Fill in your First and Last names in the provided spaces and add a profile picture. You can also input your gender, city, short bio, favorite materials, and birthday (month and day).

When you have finished, click “save changes” at the bottom of the screen.

To change your owner profile on Etsy, complete the following steps:

Log in to Etsy and click your avatar in the upper right-hand corner. From the drop-down menu, click “Account Settings.”
Step 2
From the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen, click the “Settings” tab, then choose “About Your Shop” from the available choices.
Step 3
Enter your name into the provided space and upload a photo of yourself. Write a small bio to let your customers know about your overall mission for your shop and what you hope to do with it. Your space is limited, so keep it short and simple.

When you have finished, click the “Save” button.
